Grant Major | Production Designer

Grant Major began his career as a set designer for Television New Zealand and worked for the BBC in London. His debut as a production designer for a feature film was on Jane Campion's award-winning An Angel at My Table (1990). Other early film credits include Heavenly Creatures and The Ugly, for which he won a New Zealand Film and Television award for Best Design. Major's design work has garnered numerous accolades, including multiple Academy Award nominations and one win. Known for his frequent collaborations with directors Peter Jackson and Jane Campion. Grant is a New Zealand-based production designer known for his Oscar-winning work on The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King and his designs for films like King Kong, Heavenly Creatures, and The Power of the Dog.
